STEWARDS PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAILS DAILY
AND RESPOND TO REQUEST FROM THE BRANCH ASAP
If any of you are interested in a tracking chart for equitbility, here’s the chart for this quarter.
WORKHOUR/WORKLOAD REPORTS FROM THE PREVIOUS DAY SHOULD BE POSTED DAILY
Effective today, all grievances originating from San Antonio (and the Rio Grande District) going to the DRT, will be sent directly to Dallas. Rio Grande grievances should be mailed to:
NALC – USPS DRT
1112 18th Street
Plano, TX 75074
Please make sure that your envelope (if you are using a G10 envelope) you send to Step B is ROUND-DATED! Get a clerk to round-date it and put clear tape over it so it can’t be tampered with. Envelopes must be postmarked…period. Any questions, contact the branch.
This past week I was informed by the DRT-Dallas and the NBA Office about three grievances that were sitting unopened because the proper postage was not affixed to the package. The branch paid for these 3 grievances on Monday, but that is it. We have advised you several times since this issue has come up to use the G-10 envelopes to mail out your grievances. If you send them in another format that requires special services you will be responsible for paying the postage. If the grievance package is too big to fit in a G-10 envelope, consult with the clerk and/or station manager on how to send the grievance without incurring any other costs.

The CCA's will report to their assigned station with the new OJI handbook. The last page of the OJI handbook must be completed and certified signed by the OJI instructor and the Steward verifying the training has been completed.
Please have the stewards inform management to return all signed sheets to the District PEDC, Attn: CCA Training. Lets prevent any shortfalls of training ie.. "The CCA going out the first day with the OJI, the next day he is out delivering mail on his own". You and I know what happens when the stations are short personnel and a route needs to be delivered!
It's our responsibility to ensure the CCA's are trained (IAW) with pertinent handbook. The OJI training is their HANDS-ON.
