It is time for all members of the NALC to stand up and take action. When NALC National President speaks to Congress, he represents you. When YOU speak to your representative your VOTE speaks. If YOU make a call and get members of your family to make calls and WRITE LETTERS, your representative at least has your demands and either has to agree and support you, or tell you no.
The question then seems to be this; is your job worth a call and a letter? If not, then it's not worth much, is it? If the financial well being of your family is important, then make the call, write the letter. Tell your representative to support and work with the NALC to save and improve the Postal Service. The "shutdown" will be resolved, don't let your anger or disillusionment with either "side" keep you from saving your job. The well being of your family is at stake, your retirement is at stake. If you don't take action and the Postal Service falls, the guilty party will be staring at you in the mirror. Think about it.
Go to nalc.org.....look on the right side of the front page...get your representative's and senator's contact information....make the call....write the letter.
