That there is no rule that requires a one hand motion, and delivery of mail, to a residential mail box. This requirement is more than the national handbooks and manuals require.   This brings up the questions:

1) Where exactly can you show me where this rule is? (it doesn't exist!)

2) Doesn't this establish and new work practice?

3) Isn't this supposed to be done at the national level?

Carriers should be on the alert and check their station SOP for this requirement.  If it is included in the SOP, the offending language, should be challenged and promptly removed.

~No one has to make 18/8 as long as you are doing your best. With the new case configurations it is difficult to do when you have to two hand case on five shelf cases. You only have to make a satisfactory effort. There is no 18/8. If you do not make that "magic number" they must have documented evidence that you were not making a satisfactory effort in order to discipline you.
