DID YOU KNOW...

~ Benefits under the Federal Employee Benefits Act are not automatic.

~ Employees should immediately report all injuries, even minor injuries, to their supervisor.

~ If a Carrier's supervisor refuses to accept a notice of injury or claims for compensation, the Carrier should notify the Union of the refusal.

~ The forms used to report:

   CA-1  a traumatic injury and claim for continuation of pay.

   CA-2   an Occupational Disease.

    read and follow the attached instructions carefully.

~ The form CA-2 for reporting occupational diseases may be filed within 30 days of realization that the illness was caused or aggravated by the employment.

~ The question of deliberate willful misconduct may arise when the employee violates safety rules, disobeys orders of the employer, or violates a law.

~ REMINDER find your OWCP Doctor now!  An orthopedic who will accept OWCP claims.
